Standing Up To Her.

“David!!” Anna said gleefully when she saw me.

Her and James came up toward me and we started chatting. I saw Jenny and her friends staring them down. What was a cordial meeting quickly turned sour.

“Look Charlotte, its David’s kiddie poser friends!’ She said mockingly to her friends.

“Can I help you?” Anna snapped back.

“I told you that punk is out. Silly girl.” Jenny said.

“Who the fuck are you calling..” Anna said ready to fight. I held Jenny back and James grabbed Anna back.

“Jenny quit it! What’s wrong with you?” I said.

“David, they’re a couple posers! C’mon why do you want to hang with them?”

“They’re my friends. Just like April and Charlotte are YOURS!” I said.

“Whatever, let’s go.” Jenny said.

“No!”

“You’re leaving with us. Do as I say!” She said demandingly.

“

Don’t talk about my friends like that. There’s plenty I could say about yours, but I have class.” I said turning to April and Charlotte.

“Let’s go!”

“No.”

“Fine, take the bus back. Let’s go girls.” Jenny said.

They walked toward the door when a baseball bat blocked the door.

“GIVE BACK THE FUCKING RECORD YOU LIFTED!” Violet stammered.

“You must be mistaken, I didn’t take anything?” Jenny said.

‘DON’T FUCK WITH ME!” Violet insisted with her death stare.

At that point, Jenny took out a seven inch she apparently stuffed in her purse. It was Wang Chung. Yuck! I couldn’t believe she would steal that! It was either her friends urging her to do so, or Jenny’s attempt to make me look bad. Violet though had gotten her point across.

“Here. Sorry. It was a joke.” She said.

“Wang Chung? Are you fucking kidding? And you're calling them posers? Get out of the store. Don’t come back.” Violet says.

“David, she says we have to go.” Jenny says.

“No honey, just you three. David doesn’t have to go anywhere. I'm not joking!” Violet said.

“Oh my god, what the fuck?” Jenny said as she pushed her way out of the store with Charlotte and April. Spencer followed them out.
