"I can't believe you still listen to this?" Jenny asked as she held up a copy of Paul McCartney's Flowers In The Dirt.
"What's wrong with Paul McCartney? He was once a Beatle!" I said.
"I mean, you're into The Cure now so like, this stuff is a bit lame. There's no way anyone at Medusas will think you're cool if they find out you listen to that." She said.
"Jenny, I've listened to Paul and The Beatles since I was nine! I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like its Wang Chung or something." I said.
"But you want to become a New Waver so New Wave is what you should be listening to!" She said rolling her eyes.
"New Wave-- like that song Oliver's Army from Elvis Costello?" I questioned.
"Yeah Elvis Costello is cool." She said trying to sound smart.
"He's so cool that he wrote a bunch of songs with Paul for this album. How's that one?" I said.
"Whatever." Jenny said.
