Hey, You're All Right

I was shopping around in Trax today when Spencer put on this incredible record. I immediately ran up to him and asked, 

"Who is this????"

"The Stone Roses. Wait, you've never heard this?" Spencer asked.

"No. This is awesome!" I said.

"This is an incredible record. It's they're debut. It came out back in April." He said.

"I must have this!" I said.

Spencer grabbed me a copy that I gladly snatched from him to add to my other purchases which included the new Depeche Mode 12 inch Personal Jesus and The Glove which was a record that Robert Smith and Steve Severin of Siouxsie and The Banshees did back in 1983. I literally could not wait to get home and put these records on. In the middle of all the excitement, Max and Violet were arguing as usual. Anna and James stayed out of it and kept to themselves. Alex was out with his girlfriend. During a cease fire moment, Max came up to me to check out my purchases.

"Let's see what you're getting? Hmm, fruitcake music, fruitcake music, and ok, sort of fruitcake music." He said as he sorted through the records.

"Fruitcake music? I thought you said you like The Glove record?" I asked.

"It's ok. I guess." He said.

I gave him this odd look which made him laugh and he patted me on the shoulder.

"I'm just fucking with you dude. You know, you're not a fruitcake." He said.

"Thank you, Max." I said laughing.

"Hey, you're all right." He said.

"Really?" I said.

"Really. Just not your poser girlfriend." He said.

"At least I'm all right." I said.
