David's Journal 10/25/89

So apparently my girlfriend thinks that I should only be listening to The Cure and Depeche Mode rather than some of the classic rock like The Beatles and The Doors that I've been listening to since I first heard them on classic rock radio when I was nine years old! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all these new bands that I've been listening to, especially since Violet's been hooking me up with great listening tips at Trax. 

But, I could never turn off The Beatles. Whenever I hear Let It Be, it makes me feel like how ever bad things are or however bad I feel, there's a light somewhere that will bring me through it. I remember playing the song after my grandmother passed. The Beatles helped me through it. Jenny just doesn't get that.
