Synopsis: A coming of age story based in the late 80’s around the Belmont and Clark counter culture scene. It's the story of outsider kids with a love for aggressive music and extreme fashion, who are trying to create a world where they belong.

Character Bios:

David – Male, 16, white. Sheltered with over protective parents, from a middle class neighborhood on the deep northwest side.  Just discovering the scene at Belmont and Clark through his girlfriend Jenny. 

Max – Male, 14 white. Polish punk rock latch key kid.  Record nerd, punk and industrial music enthusiast, unwittingly magnetic to other kids in the scene.  Girls like him, but he’s pretty oblivious.  Mature beyond his years, but easily influenced by Alex, an idiot friend

Diane – Female, 19 white.  Polish anti-racist Skinhead.  Leader of the skinbird side of Terror skinhead crew.  Emotionally fucked up, because of a dark secret, all sorts of nuts, violent and has anger issues.  Straight Edge and is dating Bubsy.

Bubsy – Male, 21 black. Leader of the Terror skinhead crew and is very calculated, smart and intense leader. A definite anti-hero. He constantly lives in the grey area of love and hate.  Is pursued by the police for a crime he may or may not have committed.

Jason – Male, 16 Latino.  Punk rock kid whocomes from a northwest side Catholic household and is in a struggle with his best friend who is being seduced white power skinheads.

Alex – Male, 14 white.  Punk kid and is the comic relief.  GG Allin fan, offensive, doesn’t give a fuck.  Says horrible things all the time.  His dad is a Chicago cop in Lakeview and a single father.

James – Male, 14 white. Polish new wave kid.  Morrissey/Smiths enthusiast and plays several instruments.  Soft spoken, shy, painfully awkward, but extremely smart. 

Mars – Male or Gender Queer, 19 black or mixed.  Gender bending club kid.  Works at a head shop/underground clothing store and is looked up to by many of the kids.  Flamboyant, but tough and street smart.

Darren – Male, 16, Asian.  Gay new wave kid who works at a goth clothing store.  Comes from an upper class conservative home and is very outgoing and open about who he is and his sexuality.

Chicago – Male, mid 20’s black.  Gutter punk.  Friends with Bubsy and may or may not live on the street.  Kind of a mysterious figure who is very loud and boisterous.  Possibly an acid casualty, possibly has mental health issues. 

Sara – Female, 15 Latina.  Runaway who falls in with the Terror crew and becomes a skinhead.  She is Diane’s right hand woman.

Squats – Male, 21 white. Irish skinhead part of the Terror crew.  Straight edge, sings in a hardcore band and is Bubsy’s right hand man.

Billy-Club – Male, 21 white. Polish immigrant and Skinhead.  Member of Terror.  Total meat head and person of questionable character, violent and fucking crazy.  Piece of shit.  From Polish Village (Milwaukee and Pulaski).

Terri – Male 21, white.  Leader of the CLAS white power skin gang.  Clear villain in the show, sleazy and attempting rebuild the numbers in his gang to take over Terror’s hold on the northside.

Bridget – 16, white.  Terri’s younger goth sister.  Plays a key role in seducing a character to the CLAS crew.

Nora – 16, white.  New wave girl from Skokie.  Plays a smaller role in season one, but becomes more vital in season 2.

Tracy – 14 year old black. new wave girl from Evanston.  Newer to the scene in the city and Max is her love interest.
